Diablo Lake Mountain Views
Cheam Ridge Panorama
Knight and Lady Peaks with Mt. Cheam on the right (also known as Cheam Peak). Mt. Cheam is a familiar sight to those who live in the Fraser Valley. This panorama was taken from the vantage point of Seabird Island between Aggasiz and Hope. I will try this shot again when the winter snow is on the peaks and maybe a bit less haze in the sky.
5 exposures stitched, Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM @ 70mm
North Cascades National Park Peaks
In May I took my first trip through North Cascades National Park. Though I did not venture far from Hwy 20 there were mountain peaks everywhere you looked. This being late spring, there was still snow blanketing most of them. I will be travelling through there again in October and now that I know a few of the sights that await me I will be taking my time.
Kekuli Bay Provincial Park Panorama
In May of this year I ventured into the BC interior. This is a morning view from Kekuli Bay Provincial Park at Kalamalka Lake.
5 exposures stitched, Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM @ 17mm
Diablo Lake – North Cascades National Park
A view of Diablo Lake from 2009 at North Cascades National Park. I hope the fall color this year will be as spectacular as last year.
7 exposures stitched, Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM @ 10mm
Ketchum Creek Falls in North Cascades National Park
Ketchum Creek Falls (161 feet / 49m ) is just a bit east of the better known (and much larger) Gorge Falls in North Cascades National Park.
Macro Panorama?
I am sure I am abusing the term panorama by calling this a “macro panorama” but it seems the easiest term for this. Would have been much easier with a panorama specific clamp on my ballhead but I did okay sliding my tripod instead. I wouldn’t want to use that method every time if I were to do a lot of stuff like this though.
8 exposures stitched, Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 macro
Silverhope Creek & Eureka Falls
Eureka Falls flows into Silverhope Creek just outside the Silver Lake Provincial Park boundary.
These two shots came from my first attempt at using my new ND filter (B+W 77mm #106 Neutral Density 1.8). Very glad I added this filter to my bag!
